Sterling Global Operations earns $350 million in new contracts; SGO named one of America's largest Employee Stock Ownership Program companies
LENOIR CITY, Tenn., May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sterling Global Operations (SGO), an international stability operations company, has recently been awarded contracts totaling more than $350 million for risk management, demining, and explosives management in the Middle East and Africa.
The contracts are with governmental and commercial clients and extend over the next five years.
SGO's services are munitions response; demining; intelligence support; logistics; risk management; communications; and more, in difficult and sometimes dangerous environments.
SGO, with 15 offices currently managing operations in 18 countries, has also been cited as one of America's largest employee-owned companies as well as put on the Forbes list of America's Best Employers.
SGO, in March, became the first American company to earn worldwide certification under ANSI/ASIS PSC.1-2012, an international standard designed specifically for private security company quality management systems.
