NEW BRITAIN, Conn., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. (NYSE: SWK) (the "Company") announced today that it priced its offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.250% Notes due 2028 and $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.850% Notes due 2048 (collectively, the "Securities"). The offering is being made under the Company's existing shelf registration statement previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") and is expected to close on November 6, 2018.
The Company will receive net proceeds of approximately $989.4 million from the sale of the Securities, after deducting the underwriters' discounts and commissions and offering expenses. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including repayment of borrowings.
