Standard Life accelerates claims processing with TELUS Health eClaims solution
Paperless option enables participating healthcare specialists to electronically submit claims at the point-of-care on behalf of clients
MONTREAL, Oct. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - TELUS Health entered into an agreement with Standard Life today that will reduce out-of pocket expenses for plan members, decrease time spent processing insurance paperwork for care providers and streamline the reimbursement process. The TELUS Health eClaims web portal is a simple, practical and faster way to submit electronic claims as it allows participating healthcare providers across Canada, such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, visioncare providers,as well as acupuncturists, massage therapists and naturopathic doctors in certain provinces to submit them directly on behalf of patients at their point-of-care.
Standard Life is integrating TELUS Health's eClaims service into its advanced TELUS Health Multi-Benefit Claims Management (MBCM) platform. This powerful, intelligent, rule-based adjudication engine enables Standard Life to benefit from the full potential of eClaims, which includes strict monitoring of the claim adjudication process, less manual intervention, increased service quality and significant improvement in terms of operational efficiency for Standard Life.
