St. Louis-based 2e Creative expands to Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with launch of new strategic PR and communication service
ST. LOUIS, May 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- 2e Creative, Inc., a full-service creative agency based in St. Louis, Mo., with expertise in healthcare, science, and technology, will expand to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to launch a new strategic PR and corporate communications service. This expansion comes on the heels of a period of record success for the agency, which has experienced 40 percent growth year-over-year during the past two years. The agency is also considering expansion opportunities on the west coast in the future.
"Over the past 16 years, 2e has become a nationally-recognized creative agency in no small part because of our constant evolution," said Ross Toohey, President of 2e Creative. "Complementing our existing tools with strategic PR and communications capabilities in a region of the country where we already have established, successful partnerships is an exciting continuation of this philosophy. Plus, the margaritas are a little bit better down there."
This new strategic communications service will join the agency's broad range of existing, award-winning capabilities, which netted more than 30 industry awards in 2014, including being named Healthcare Agency of the Year by Advertising Age and Modern Healthcare. These existing capabilities include branding, marketing strategy, communication and analytics, digital strategy and development, advertising and promotion, and more. Lane Borrello, who previously worked in strategic communications at DFW-based Alcon and Caris Life Sciences, will lead the service as Director of PR and Communications Strategy.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area has become an ideal market for the healthcare, medical device and biotech industries, fueled by local institutions like the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and research universities that include the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Dallas, and the University of Texas at Arlington. In fact, the DFW and St. Louis markets reflect similar industrial and market growth potential.
"It may be unexpected or surprising to some that a fast-growing, successful creative agency with a large client base in healthcare, science, and technology is based here in St. Louis," said Toohey. "But, it shouldn't be. St. Louis has established industries and renowned healthcare, research and academic institutions. It also has a thriving creative community and talent pool. For us, it's a great place to call home."
Earlier this year, St. Louis nabbed the number one spot on Popular Mechanics' 'Best startup cities in America' list. Chosen from among 14 locations, St. Louis topped Asheville, N.C., and Oakland, Calif., which placed second and third, respectively. The publication referenced the T-REX Business incubator for technology entrepreneurs (comprised of around 70 companies) and the non-profit Arch Grants, which fosters local economic growth by incentivizing new industry to St. Louis, as key differentiators.
