Sprayground Teams Up with NFL Stars Beckham, Landry and Hill, Launches "Royal Family" Collection
NFL Starters and LSU Alumni Design Limited-Edition Line of Backpacks
NEW YORK, Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Accessories and outerwear brand, Sprayground, known for pioneering the advancement of the traditional backpack into a global art movement, announced today the release of a limited-edition line of backpacks designed by NFL stars and former LSU teammates Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants, Jarvis Landry of the Miami Dolphins, and Jeremy Hill of the Cincinnati Bengals, who together were founding members of the self-proclaimed "Royal Family."
"We are spearheading the evolution of the backpack and making this once-utilitarian item into a fashion statement with a focus on quality, function and design with a rebellious attitude," said David Ben-David, founder of Sprayground. "We're excited to work with standout NFL players Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry and Jeremy Hill, as this is a chance for them to show off their creative side and personalities with their own individual backpacks."
The limited-edition "Royal Family" Sprayground collection ranges from $65-$75 in price and can be purchased online at www.sprayground.com until supply runs out. The collection's fourth bag representing the entire "Royal Family" will be released to the public at a later date.
The backpack designed by Beckham, the NFL record-holder for most receptions over a player's first two seasons, is inspired by his New York Giants jersey and contains a tribute to his intricate arm tattoos along the side panels. Appropriately named the "F-13 Wingman" backpack , his bag also features detachable 'wings' – symbolizing his ability to fly through the air and make game-winning catches, also seen as a logo on the side strap.
Fellow Tiger alum and Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry's "Miami Drift" bag draws from his Miami stomping ground and love for fast cars, with graphics inspired by Sprayground's signature "305" series and detachable 'doors' adorned with his team number.
Rounding out the "Royal Family," Louisiana native and Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill's taps both his past, with a Bourbon Street backdrop, and the present, with a pet tiger, symbolic of his current team, the Cincinnati Bengals. The "Tiger Mob" backpack design also sports his token phrase, "Stay Turnt" front and center.
While the "Royal Family" collection builds on Sprayground's growing roster of partnerships with professional athletes, Sprayground found success initially by connecting their bold, statement-making bags with creative -minded celebrities and artists including Chris Brown, Christina Milian, Spike Lee, Iman Shumpert and Coco and Breezy. Designed in limited quantities, Sprayground collections are never rereleased, making them collectibles among brand followers.

About Sprayground:
Sprayground was started in 2010 by NYC designer David Ben-David. Originally created as a blank backpack company designed for street artists to easily transport spray cans hence the iconic logo of an artist "on the go", Sprayground has now evolved into a collection of original designs created by DBD and friends. Growing up in Miami skateboarding & surfing, DBD was always inspired by deck art and the street art at all of the local skate spots. As a kid DBD was always on the go and would regularly pack his whole life in his backpack, so it only made sense when he started an art inspired backpack line years later. Sprayground backpacks are constructed to be not only expressive but extremely functional and comfortable for those who are on the go! Sprayground is sold at local boutiques worldwide and online at www.sprayground.com.
