Spiffy Announces $5m Series A Led by Bull City Venture Partners and Expansion to Los Angeles, California
By taking over competitor Squeegy's operations, Spiffy adds fourth metro area and first West-coast presence - now offers services 'coast to coast'
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Feb. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Get Spiffy, Inc. (Spiffy), an on-demand car care, technology, and services company, today announced the closing of a $5m Series A investment led by Bull City Venture Partners. The company also announced the expansion to Los Angeles via the acquisition of competitor Squeegy's operations.

Spiffy's Series A will enable the company to expand into new markets, invest in technology and explore additional services.

Spiffy's Series A also included investments by West Palm Beach-based car wash operator and investor, Development 72, LLC, Durham-based IDEA Fund Partners and San Francisco-based Industry Ventures.

Los Angeles Expansion:
In addition to the Series A funding, Spiffy is announcing the acquisition of ongoing operations from Squeegy. This acquisition will allow Spiffy to provide services for the over 14,000 residential and commercial relationships previously serviced by Squeegy.

Spiffy has made it very convenient for Squeegy users to make the switch. Existing Squeegy users can just update their Squeegy app, log in with their existing credentials and they are ready to go. Spiffy started commercial operations in Los Angeles on 2/13 and residential will launch 2/20.

Spiffy's vans bring their own water and equipment, which allows for a wide range of services including detail options such as the Awesome and Totally Awesome detail options. Spiffy will continue to offer waterless services (Classic and Express) for Squeegy customers who prefer that option.
