SAN DIEGO and LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DivX®, a division of Sonic Solutions® (Nasdaq: SNIC), and LG Electronics, Inc., a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, today announced plans to showcase DivX TV™ and RoxioNow™ at CES 2011 as a part of a strategic alliance to include both solutions on LG's next-generation 2011 network Blu-ray Disc players and home theater systems with NetCast Entertainment Access.
Providing access to free, high-quality Web entertainment beyond the PC, DivX TV serves as a complement to the company's RoxioNow platform, which enables direct device access to paid Hollywood entertainment. Collectively, these solutions enhance the connected device experience, offering consumers more choice, convenience, and control over their entertainment. The DivX TV and RoxioNow-enabled BD650, BD670, BD690 Blu-ray Disc players and the LHB976, LHB526, LHB536, LHB336 home theater systems will be for sale in the United States through leading retailers such as Best Buy and Amazon starting this spring.
