THERE'S A NEW "M" IN MUSIC CITY, AND IT STANDS FOR MERCHANDISE
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Something Inked, an independently owned branding, marketing, design, e-commerce, and merchandise company, is celebrating its 8th year as one of Nashville's leading manufacturers of retail, sports, and concert merchandise. Aligned with company growth, Something Inked finalized an agreement today to join AIA Corporation (AIA) and become part of their distributor Community.
Headquartered in Neenah, Wis., AIA is one of the top five promotional product distributors in the U.S., with more than 300 independent franchise promotional product distributors nationwide and more than 3,000 suppliers.
"Our focus has always been our strong relationships with customers. Anyone can sell merchandise, but it's the service we provide that keeps them coming back, and for us, that's a point of pride," said Oliver Landry, president of Something Inked. "We were attracted to AIA because we could retain our independence, while still benefiting from their investments in forward-thinking technology, sales support, and a shared vision for the future of our industry––all to continue to provide our customers with the best service and products."
For Something Inked, apparel never stops being printed, bagged, shipped, and delivered on time to locations around the U.S. They remain committed to developing the necessary infrastructure to meet the demands of their growing customer base.
Currently, Something Inked has more than 125 employees and a 57,000 square foot warehouse, and an expansion of 40,000 square feet and 50 employees is on the horizon within the next 12 months. With an average of 250,000 blanks in its daily inventory, Something Inked is known for quick turnaround projects. Their art department, consisting of seven creative individuals, can easily create variations in design and unique concepts.
"Our future is bright and we are gearing up to launch an on-demand service for individual sales, increase our e-commerce business, and expand our corporate profile," says David Schneiderman, vice president of marketing services for Something Inked. "Becoming part of the AIA Community only enables this continued growth and allows us to implement new ways to increase customer service."
"Expansion is the name of the game," says Bill Feldberg, vice president of business development at Something Inked. "Given our history with sports teams and the entertainment industry, this new partnership allows us to handle more licensed products and increase our retail position."
