Social Media Day Marked with Free 'Ask the Expert' Webinar and Web 2.0 Courses for Business Professionals
ATLANTA, June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Social Media Day was first created by Mashable in 2010 to acknowledge and celebrate the "revolution of media becoming social." In observance, Social Media Marketing University (SMMU) is offering exclusive coaching sessions and classes to help business owners and business professionals learn and implement social media best strategies and practices.
On June 30 at 11 a.m. E.D.T., SMMU will kick off "No Holds Barred: Ask the Expert," a webinar series created to give business professionals an opportunity to ask questions about Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media platforms, practices and tools. On Social Media Day, the guest expert will be Jennifer Shaheen, The Technology Therapist® and SMMU's resident Facebook expert.
Shaheen helps business owners harness today's technology to effectively grow their businesses in the digital marketplace. Additionally, she is an Entrepreneur.com columnist, the author of the "Technology Therapy TO GO" book series, and the instructor of SMMU's "Facebook for Results" course.
Normally reserved for SMMU students only, the June 30th "No Holds Barred" webinar with Shaheen will be open to the public. Registration is free.
Additionally, in celebration of Social Media Day, business owners, business professionals and students can take advantage of a 14-day trial for all 11 SMMU courses for $1. Courses include "LinkedIn Essentials," "Facebook for Results," "Mobile Marketing for Results" and "Blogging for Results."
"Social Media Day is an ideal time for those new to social media to take advantage of these resources and learn how they can leverage Web 2.0 to be more competitive in their industries," said John Souza, founder of SMMU. "It's also a great opportunity for business owners and business professionals who have been active in social media to identify areas where they can take their social media strategy to the next level."
