SMART Medical Systems Appoints Harald Beyer as Senior Director of Global Strategy

RA'ANANA, Israel, April 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SMART Medical Systems Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of advanced endoscopy and colonoscopy products for gastrointestinal (GI) medicine, announced the appointment of Mr. Harald Beyer as Senior Director of Global Strategy. Mr. Beyer's engagement with SMART comes in addition to his Executive role at SORING GmbH, a global surgical devices company.

Previously, Mr. Beyer served for 10 years at Pentax Medical, a global leader in endoscopic imaging, as Vice President of Sales and Strategic Initiatives and as General Manager, Life Care of Pentax Europe. Prior to joining Pentax Medical, Mr. Beyer led the European operations of Given Imaging, a world leader in capsule endoscopy. Throughout his career, Mr. Beyer has lead effective implementation of new and innovative endoscopy products within diverse markets, which have made a profound impact on the endoscopic industry.
