MEQUON, Wis., May 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In a strategic move that further demonstrates its growth from a start-up to a medium-sized company and significant partner for healthcare payers, SKYGEN USA today announced the launch of its new client relationship model.
SKYGEN USA's Client Relationship Model will add a relationship manager and service manager to every client team to ensure the delivery of a superior client experience on an ongoing basis. It will also coordinate activities between SKYGEN USA's family of distinguished benefit management companies, enabling the organization to take a more holistic, client-centric approach to the way it works with clients.
Its mission is to place the client at the center of SKYGEN USA's business philosophy, operations and ideas, and permeate a belief throughout the organization that clients are the only reason a business exists. Keeping clients happy and satisfied demonstrates the level to which SKYGEN USA values them.
"While it may be new to health payers, this is a model that is used successfully in other industries such as financial services and technology," said Teresa Velk, executive director of strategic programs at SKYGEN USA and the driving force behind the new initiative. "Although we have always prided ourselves on being a good partner to our clients, the focus has been on solving specific, timely needs such as a change to meet a new regulation. This new approach will install experienced client services managers who can take a more global view to help maintain overall client satisfaction across our family of companies, provide a point of escalation for any issues that arise and bring new ideas to our clients that will help drive growth."
Under the new model, the relationship manager and service manager will own the relationship jointly. The relationship manager will interact at the executive level, delivering strategic counsel while suggesting new ways health payers can leverage the SKYGEN USA family of companies to optimize state-of-the-art benefit management solutions to ensure a positive experience for payers, providers and members. The services manager will focus on operational responsibilities such as creating the client program, escalating issues for resolution and generally serving as client advocates within SKYGEN USA.
"Our transition from a small to medium-sized company means the stakes are higher for every relationship," said Craig Kasten, chairman of the board and co-founder of SKYGEN USA. "That's why our ownership has made such a significant investment in this program, dedicating new resources and creating new jobs. We view it as an essential component of our own long-term growth strategy. We have always been a solutions company. With our new client relationship approach we will be able to learn more about what our clients need earlier so we can bring solutions to them rather waiting for them to ask. I am excited about and looking forward to the implementation of this new strategy."
