SKLZ® Named Official Training Partner of Baseball Factory
SKLZ to provide products, expert-led instructional content to nation's elite high school ballplayers
CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SKLZ, the global leader in athletic skill and performance training products, announced today its partnership with the top player development program in the nation, Baseball Factory. As the Official Training Partner, SKLZ will put its line of innovative baseball and performance training tools and programs into the hands of Baseball Factory's elite coaches and instructors to support their year-round clinics, evaluations and tournaments.
"SKLZ is excited to work with Baseball Factory's premier training program. The quantity and quality of collegiate and professional ball players who have developed through their system speaks volumes about their training approach both on and off the field," said SKLZ CEO, John Sarkisian. "As their Official Training Partner, we want to enhance the experience each athlete has as they prepare to compete at the next level."
In addition to product and program integration, SKLZ will work with Baseball Factory to co-create expert-led instructional videos and content as they seek to extend the program beyond the in-person training experience. Athletes will also have access to SKLZ's existing baseball library, which includes position- and skill-specific training series from brand ambassadors such as University of San Diego Head Baseball Coach Rich Hill and Long Beach State Head Baseball Coach Troy Buckley.
"With SKLZ's training products and content, Baseball Factory can offer a comprehensive performance training program to our 25,000 elite baseball players," said Steve Sclafani, founder & CEO of Baseball Factory. "Our athletes have committed to year-round excellence to reach these levels, and now we will be able to offer premier training programs to them 365 days a year."
The announcement comes on the heels of SKLZ formalizing its partnership with Little League Baseball and Softball®, a long time partner with Baseball Factory. Their first event together will be at the Little League World Series®, currently in action through August 26. SKLZ will contribute to its on-site presence with demo training products and co-marketing collateral.
