SK+G Wins In Premiere Episode Of AMC's "The Pitch"
Las Vegas Advertising Agency Delivers Winning Concept for Waste Management Inc.
LAS VEGAS, May 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SK+G delivered the winning campaign in last night's premiere of AMC's new original series, The Pitch. In the show, two agencies compete to win a new client the only way they can: by going head-to-head in a cut-throat, winner-takes-all showdown. SK+G competed for and won a project assignment for Waste Management Inc., the leading provider of integrated environmental solutions in North America. The episode is available on Video On Demand.
The assignment was to develop a multi-platform marketing campaign to inform, educate, engage and activate consumers in the waste discussion, positioning Waste Management Inc. as an innovative leader in environmental solutions. In the episode, viewers watched as SK+G and their New York-based agency competitor embraced the challenge and labored day and night to develop a campaign that would outshine their competitor and ultimately, win the business.
"I'm elated by our win and the opportunity to have our work showcased through this platform," shared Jerry Kramer, managing partner at SK+G. "Our entire agency pulled together and worked smart under tight timelines to develop work that was strategic, engaging, comprehensive, and in the end, Waste Management thought we had created a message that truly represented the value of their services. Great work can happen in a month or in the short 7 days we had. And we had a blast."
SK+G's concept, "Turning Waste Into Wow" delivered compelling visuals and messaging across broadcast, print, online, billboard, social media and viral marketing platforms that provided the audience with key differentiators and messages to illuminate the unprecedented "environmental solutions" initiatives that Waste Management Inc. performs on a daily basis.
John Schadler, managing partner at SK+G, adds "I'm extremely proud of our team and the campaign we created. This assignment, for a company that is leading the way in developing smart environmental solutions and demonstrating a real commitment to creating renewable energy and resources was exhilarating. Given that we had one week to develop work that would be shown on national television, the task may have been daunting but ultimately, allowed us to demonstrate that we are an agency that is smart and capable of delivering work of the highest caliber in any category."
