Six-Week "People's Law School" Program Offers Citizens Legal Education Presented by Volunteer Attorneys from the Philadelphia Bar Association
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Area residents can receive basic information about areas of the law impacting daily life at People's Law School, a legal education program presented by volunteer attorneys from the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
The program, which features 11 unique courses on a range of legal topics, will take place every Tuesday beginning September 13 through October 18 from 6:15-8:30 p.m. in the Jury Assembly Room at the Criminal Justice Center, 1301 Filbert St. A special discounted rate of $35 is available to those who register by August 30. The cost will increase to $40 after this date. Registration includes access to all seminars and the complete course materials book.

- Trusts & Estates (including wills and living wills)
September 20
- Small Claims & Landlord/Tenant
- Consumer Credit (including debt collection, identity theft and credit reports)
September 27
- Personal Injury
- Criminal Law & Procedure

- Real Estate (including foreclosures, predatory lending and transactions)
- Bankruptcy

- Workers' Compensation

- Family Law (including divorce, custody and support)
