BOSTON, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Shuttersong (www.shuttersong.com), whose app embeds music and sound into JPEG images, announced today that it has closed $875,000 in a second round of seed funding. The round is led by an established angel group consisting of individuals associated with the law firm of Bingham McCutchen LLP, and New England entrepreneurs Vincent D'Agostino, and Jere Doyle. The second round comes just over a month after the launch of the Shuttersong app and eight months following its initial $800,000 from many of the same angel investors in February, 2013.

The funds will support the development of the Android version of the Shuttersong consumer app as well as revenue-driving partnerships with brands and digital marketing agencies seeking to use Shuttersong's patent-pending, cost-effective technology for social marketing campaigns, fan engagement and user-generated content.
"Shuttersong has tremendous potential as a vehicle for brands to communicate with their customers and share content in a simple and creative way," said Vincent D'Agostino, an investor in Shuttersong and co-founder and former President of Webloyalty. "Shuttersong's ability to capture both sound and image unlocks a whole new world for marketers and is primed to make waves in the digital marketing space."
Since launching in September, more than 25,000 people have downloaded the ground-breaking app to create and share life's moments, complete with their soundtrack.
"We're very bullish on the adoption we've seen with consumers who continue to show us new ways to use the technology to capture real moments in their lives," said William Agush, founder and CEO of Shuttersong. "But we're most excited about marketer's reaction to the potential of Shuttersong in digital marketing campaigns. Look for Shuttersong to become the default technology for blending sound and digital images."
