Shot Glass Films' Commercial For CO2 Solutions Airs During Rio 2016 Olympic Games
"Industrial Evolution" challenges mega manufacturers to re-imagine carbon
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In "Industrial Evolution," the latest work by Shot Glass Films, Canadian publicly traded cleantech firm CO2 Solutions, Inc. (TSX-V:CST) challenges the world's industrial manufacturers to re-imagine carbon emissions as an opportunity. The commercial, which debuted during the Rio 2016 Olympics on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Canada's Olympic Network and The Sports Network (TSN networks), echoes the sporting event's theme of environmental sustainability and climate change. "Industrial Evolution" will be broadcast throughout both networks' Olympic coverage and culminate with final airings to millions during the Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday, August 21st.
"Ambitious goals have been set for carbon reduction in Canada and the world, and our technology can contribute significantly towards achieving these reductions. That powerful message is one we want to carry into the broad discussion on this subject. That is why we decided, once we had seen the quality of the commercial, to share this nationwide through the CBC Olympic broadcast," said Evan Price, President and CEO of CO2 Solutions.
Director Eric Jackson of Shot Glass Films, who helmed the commercial, was quick to point out that CO2 emissions are part of the earth's natural cycle and he used this as the central theme of the commercial. "We crafted every image to reflect the delicate balance of nature, humanity, and industry. Maintaining that harmony is the key to future growth. That's what the commercial is focused on; what we are calling 'Industrial Evolution'," added Jackson.
Shot Glass Films is known for delivering content that opens up dialogue about green topics. They have produced other environmentally friendly videos for Levi Strauss & Company, California Water Service Group, Edison International, and San Diego Gas & Electric.
The 30-second commercial will continue until the end of the Olympics on both the CBC and TSN, conveying its industrial evolution theme. It will also continue being aired on CBC's website for an additional two weeks. CBC is Canada's oldest existing broadcast network, and TSN is the largest specialty channel in Canada. CO2 Solutions is also considering additional airing of the commercial spot on other Canadian business-related networks, and the spot can also be seen on CO2 Solutions' website (www.co2solutions.com) and social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
