Cyber Monday produced the most online sales revenue for Shopatron brands, increasing 29% over 2010, and producing sales equivalent to Thursday and Friday combined. On Black Friday, Shopatron partners saw an 18% increase in sales over last year. Shopatron, the leading eCommerce provider for brands worldwide, services over 1,000 brands in over 40 industries, including major international brands like Mizuno, Polaroid and Suzuki, as well as well-known specialty brands like Melissa & Doug and Gund.
"There are a lot of factors contributing to the growth and success of brands using Shopatron," says Shopatron CEO and Founder, Ed Stevens. "Obviously there is the general growth of online shopping, but we haven't relied on that alone. We are constantly making improvements to our platform, operations, support and marketing in order to provide an optimal customer experience."
Conversion rates were also on the rise for Shopatron clients. The conversion rate for Shopatron onBlocks stores increased 50% over the 5-day initial holiday shopping period. Mobile continued to play an increased role in holiday shopping as well, with mobile visits accounting for about 15% of total traffic and 8.5% of total revenue.
"Our commitment to conversion testing and the resulting upgrades are clearly showing results," adds Stevens. "And our decision to optimize all of our stores for mobile in the middle of 2010 has not hurt either. While more people are buying on mobile devices, the volume of people who are using the device for research prior to purchasing offline demonstrates just how much mobile browsing influences retail shopping."
