NEW YORK, Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sherry-Lehmann Wine & Spirits today announced the seventh consecutive year of its time honored, philanthropic relationship with charitable organization, Keep a Child Alive (KCA). In addition to its role as the official wine and spirits sponsor of the 13th Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball, Sherry-Lehmann is partnering with LOUIS XIII to offer a once-in-a-lifetime auction lot, to be presented during tonight's event at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
This highly-anticipated auction lot is set to include a LOUIS XIII Legacy Limited Edition Magnum. Each decanter takes four generations of cellar masters over 100 years to craft. This exclusive magnum is hand-signed by the LOUIS XIII cellar masters, each passing on their treasured knowledge to the next, patiently preserving the art of LOUIS XIII. LOUIS XIII Cognac is a precious blend of up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie, the youngest of which is at least 40 years old. The auction lot also includes a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Paris, Cognac and Cannes where the winning bidder will receive five-star hotel accommodations, dinner at a three Michelin Star restaurant, a tour of the House, and a tasting of LOUIS XIII with Cellar Master, Baptiste Loiseau. The experience will culminate with VIP access to the 70th Annual Cannes Film Festival where the winner will walk the famed red carpet before attending a film premiere as the special guest of LOUIS XIII. Last year's record-breaking auction item provided by LOUIS XIII and Sherry-Lehmann helped raise over $300,000 for KCA to utilize in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
"Sherry-Lehmann is excited to be partnering once again with such esteemed brands as LOUIS XIII, Champagne Thienot, Domaine Faiveley, Maison Olivier Leflaive and Belvedere Red in support of KCA's Black Ball," said Chris Adams, CEO of Sherry-Lehmann. "We hope our seventh year participating in this wonderful event brings luck to those bidding in tonight's auction, so we can break last year's record and bring additional support to the Keep a Child Alive organization."
The Black Ball will include cocktail hour, dinner, a live auction, celebrity musical performances, and the presentation of the annual KCA Humanitarian Award to legendary music executive
Clive Davis. The year also marks the first time the event will be live-streamed via TIDAL. Sherry-Lehmann will be on-hand to pour premiere wine and spirits including Casa Dragones Tequila, Glenmorangie, Bacardi Rum, Bulleit Bourbon, Johnnie Walker and Tanqueray Gin. Belvedere Red will also be poured throughout the event and will be featured in the signature cocktail, The "Freak Out."

ABOUT KEEP A CHILD ALIVE: Keep a Child Alive (KCA) was founded in 2003 by AIDS activist Leigh Blake and Grammy Award-winner Alicia Keys, as an emergency push to get life-saving HIV medications to African children and families, who otherwise would not have had access to treatment.
KCA's work has since grown to include the critical components necessary for successful, life-long HIV treatment: comprehensive, holistic care that supports the complete health of children and their families, ensuring their physical, mental and social well-being.
KCA provides financial and programmatic support to 7 innovative, grass-roots programs in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda and India, serving over 56,000 people annually. With the help of its supporters, KCA continues to use its voice to raise awareness, mobilize people to take action, and rally resources in the global response to HIV.
