Sharp HealthCare Rated Top Health Care Network in California and No. 6 in the Nation
Annual Survey Rates Integrated Health Care Networks Across the U.S.
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- For the twelfth year in a row, Sharp HealthCare has been named among the top 100 integrated health care networks in the nation in an annual survey conducted by SDI, a leading health care data analyst. Sharp was ranked No. 6 in the nation and No. 1 in California.
SDI's annual report, published annually by Modern Healthcare, is regarded as the nation's premier rating system for evaluating integrated health care networks on their performance and degree of integration. A total of 593 non-specialty, local and regional health care networks were surveyed for the 2010 ranking. The ratings are based on each network's ability to operate as a unified organization in each of eight categories: integration, integrated technology, contractual capabilities, outpatient utilization, financial stability, services and access, hospital utilization and physicians.
"Being ranked 12 years in a row, and No. 6 out of nearly 600 networks in the nation this year, in this comprehensive survey really is a testament to all the hard work our people do to transform the health care experience each and every day," said Mike Murphy, President and CEO of Sharp HealthCare. "Our focus is to continually enhance the way we interact with and serve our patients and their families, our colleagues and our physicians."
