Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill Opens 4 New Locations In 2015 And Launches A New Look
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., April 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Named "fastest growing" by Restaurant Business Magazine and the San Fernando Valley Business Journal and "Best Mexican" for 5 years running by the Los Angeles Daily News, Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill will open 4 new locations in 2015 with a brand new look. The new design aesthetically reflects the brand's high quality food and service. Sharky's design team has created a dynamic new motif that juxtaposes natural materials with a contemporary, linear twist. The new look was tested in the most recently opened locations in Chatsworth, Valencia and Camarillo and based on customer response, it is rolling out in all future locations. The new locations scheduled to open this year include Northridge, Marina Del Rey and Thousand Oaks, California and the first Sharky's to open beyond the borders of California will be in Tualatin, Oregon.
"This isn't your typical fast casual environment," said David Goldstein, COO of Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill. "We want the environment to complement the high quality food we serve every day," said Goldstein. We brought together sandblasted Douglas Fir wood beams with elements like Carrera marble counters and reclaimed wood; then presented them in a fresh and current way. The galvanized steel used on the bar gives an industrial, yet modern feel. The high top communal tables are flanked with leather stools."
The new look includes a selection of locally sourced craft brews behind a friendly bar, white and red fruit-rich sangrias and hand-crafted seasonal lemonades such as watermelon basil and pineapple lime. Chalk boards with galvanized metal frame and pipe throughout the restaurants remind guests of their commitment to "feel good about eating." The attribute boards and art convey Sharky's commitment to "organic, natural and local ingredients" that meet their standards.
"For the soon-to-open Northridge location, this is the first time we've built a 100% free-standing building from the ground up," said Steve Paperno, Founder/CEO. Sharky's design team used innovative wood cladding on the building exterior and architectural Douglas Fir awnings cover the outdoor patio complete with a communal fire pit. A new innovative beverage display with exposed refrigerated copper pipe wraps around glass jars holding eclectic beverages such as hand made sangrias, hand crafted lemonades, and infused teas.
Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill is a 23-year old lifestyle brand all about food with a purpose, inspiring change and creating paths to a healthier, more sustainable world, one plate at a time. Based on the vision of the founder, Steve Paperno, Sharky's combines the distinctive variety of flavors he experienced traveling through Mexico with innovative recipes and his passion for healthy living. Sharky's menu strives to use organic, local and natural ingredients combined with unique stone oven and mesquite-grilled cooking styles for enhanced flavor. The brand is committed to make a difference in the way that people dine out and continually aspires to carry more organic ingredients than any other restaurant chain supporting their vision - "feel good about eating." Sharky's was named the 22nd Fastest Growing Small Chain Restaurant in the U.S. by Restaurant Business Magazine in 2014 and has 21 locations throughout the state of California, but it is quickly growing beyond California's borders starting with Tualatin, Oregon.
