Sharethrough Launches Support for Native Cards on All Publishers
Dynamic content format made popular by Twitter and Google now available to all online publishers and media companies
SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, leading native advertising automation company Sharethrough announced Sharethrough Cards, a new standard for publishers and brand advertisers to enable the most immersive advertising experiences.
"Sharethrough Cards provide an entirely new way for brands to offer information, stories and visuals in a digestible format," said Rob Fan, co-founder and CTO of Sharethrough. "Ultimately, this is about brands and publishers working together to create the best experiences across platforms."
Sharethrough Cards are based on an emerging design trend that has become the de facto media format for closed ecosystems, including Twitter and Facebook, to present third-party content on their sites and apps. It represent the next evolution of native advertising: consumers engaging with branded experiences so rich in design and functionality they rival the utility of dedicated apps.
The release of Sharethorugh Cards will enable Sharethrough's publishers and app developer partners to immediately present promoted content as visually dynamic cards in their sites and apps, putting their monetization options at parity with the world's leading social platforms. Sharethrough Cards allow brand advertisers to distribute any type of content, including videos, images, music and articles, while giving users an unparalleled tailored experience.
"At Intel, we are constantly looking for advertising technologies and solutions that drive performance and higher impact for our brands. Sharethrough Cards now allow our teams to take performance even further by customizing the content experience for our audiences regardless of the content type, platform or layout," said Luke Knitgh, Global Brand Strategist at Intel.
Sharethrough Cards mark a significant advance for the native advertising category, which is predicated on paid media experiences that match the form and function of the sites or apps on which they are placed. The technology behind Sharethrough Cards, an expansion of the company's Real Time Templating (RTT), is an industry first; native ads will be able to evolve from simply matching a site's layout, font, and colors to more sophisticated, interactive experiences, directly within publishers' sites and apps. Brand advertisers will be able to drive meaningful engagement for their original content wherever their audiences find it, across web, mobile, and apps.
At launch the company is rolling out over 20 cards with many more integrations in development. More information can be found here.
Effective immediately, all card types are available to Sharethrough clients. In addition to continuing to build out new card types to support the constantly evolving content marketing ecosystem, Sharethrough is exploring unique opportunities to make cards even more extensible to unique publisher-specific or co-branding opportunities.
