SFN Group's Centralized Recruiting Operations Deliver Record Hires, Recruiter Productivity Gains
Increasing number of client companies turning to recruiting centers to assist in high volume, specialized hiring needs
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SFN Group, Inc. (NYSE: SFN) announced today its centralized recruiting operations completed more than 13,800 hires for client companies in 2010, while steadily increasing the ratio of recruiter-to-hires since its inception in 2006. The National Delivery Excellence Center (NDEC) and National Recruiting Center (NRC) are unique to SFN Group, and provide clients a solution to their staffing and recruiting needs through more than 200 recruiters and account managers located in four centralized recruiting operations across the country.
As more and more organizations streamline their in-house hiring resources, many are turning to staffing and recruiting companies to help fulfill large volume hiring or specialized skill set needs. Particularly during this recovery period, employers need to respond quickly to market changes which may require immediate and large surges in hiring. SFN's centralized recruiting operations are not only equipped to handle such requests, but the centers specialize in delivering on high volume projects.
For example, SFN's recruiting centers have seen steady growth in the number of hires for clients since 2006. The facility delivered 808 employees to customers its first year; 4,862 in 2008; and 13,827 in 2010.
"Doing more with less is now the standard of business operations in the post-recessionary environment," says Roy Krause, President and CEO of SFN Group. "That's in part why our recruiting centers have seen increased utilization because clients can leverage our robust candidate database, dedicated recruiters, innovative technologies, and world-class recruitment and onboarding processes without having to incur high operating costs to their bottom line."
Recruiter Productivity Booming from Technology, Social Media Tools
The company's recruiting centers have also experienced improvements in recruiter productivity since its start in 2006. At that time, the centers used 27 recruiters to hire 808 employees for clients, which equates to about 29 hires per recruiter. Today, the organization utilizes 93 recruiters who deliver 148 hires each – a 41 percent increase in four years.
Recruiters capitalize on the world's largest virtual communities, from job board sites to social media outlets, to find and place qualified candidates. Further, recruiters benefit from SFN Group's integrated mobile strategy that includes mobile-optimized websites, text alerts, mobile job centers and more.
Both recruiting centers have also fully automated key screening, assessment, scheduling, hiring and payroll processes to help streamlined transactional activities and help recruiters focus on what they do best – finding best-fit candidates for client companies.
"In an environment where recruiting the right talent is competitive and timeliness can influence candidate acceptance or refusal, we feel confident that our recruiters are armed with the most effective technologies and tools to fuel success," says Krause. "Furthermore, we believe a recruiting function is successful when it adds value to the organization by delivering top-notch candidates as efficiently as possible. Our centralized recruiting operations have done just that and more."
