ServisFirst Bank Continues Growth With the Addition of Correspondent Banking Division and Three New Hires
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ServisFirst Bank CEO and President Tom Broughton announced today the establishment of its Correspondent Banking Division, which includes Rodney Rushing, Executive Vice President; William "Bill" Street, Senior Vice President; and David Jordan, Vice President.

Rodney Rushing, Executive Vice President, previously served as Executive Vice President of the Correspondent Banking Division for BBVA Compass. Prior to ServisFirst Bank, Mr. Rushing worked with BBVA Compass from 1982 to the present in various roles, including managing the correspondent and correspondent audit divisions and managing the institutional sales force throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and North Georgia.
Mr. Rushing is the Immediate Past Chairman and 2008 President of the Alabama Bankers Association. In addition, Mr. Rushing is accredited as a Certified Financial Institution Auditor and a Certified Bank Auditor.
Bill Street, Senior Vice President, previously served as Relationship Manager for BBVA Compass from June 2001 to the present, where he sold correspondent bank services and managed account relationships with community banks and credit unions throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and North Georgia. During this time, he more than doubled the number of settlement relationships in the territory and managed the largest account base in the correspondent division, with demand deposit account balances of $322 million. Mr. Street was employed by Travelers Express Company from 1981 until 2001 in various roles, including Account Executive and Control Manager. In addition, Mr. Street served for 21 years in the U.S. Navy, where he became Submarine Qualified, Navy Instructor, and received a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two Gold Stars.
Mr. Street is member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and active in outreach projects such as Habitat for Humanity.
David Jordan, Vice President, previously served as Vice President of Correspondent Services with BBVA Compass. Mr. Jordan has nearly 12 years of experience in the financial services industry, in a variety of positions covering risk management, consumer bank operations, merger and acquisition integrations, and correspondent banking services. Prior to joining BBVA Compass, he held a number of leadership positions with Regions Financial Corporation, including Operations Manager for the Consumer Banking Division.
