Selling App Mercari Selected As Easiest-to-Use Marketplace In 2019 Sellers Choice Awards
PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercari made its debut as a finalist in Ecommerce Bytes' annual Sellers Choice Awards. Sellers selected Mercari as the easiest-to-use marketplace platform. Overall, Mercari ranked fourth among all marketplaces.
"Mercari got some rave reviews on the simplicity of listing – in fact, the entire selling process," wrote Ecommerce Bytes Editor Ina Steiner, adding that Mercari's popularity is an indicator of how "sellers are embracing the simplicity of selling through mobile apps."
Mercari also ranked second among the marketplaces sellers said they'd recommend to a friend. Ecommerce Bytes published verbatim comments from survey respondents that help explain why:
- "The entire selling process from listing, to shipping and receiving payment is just so simple and user friendly."
- "Very accepting of the small seller, fee structure is simplified, and they always get back to you ..."
- "I was very skeptical to sell here at first, but over the last few months I have moved more and more product to Mercari and away from other selling sites."
"We're humbled by this recognition from our sellers," said John Lagerling, Mercari U.S. CEO. "But we're just getting started on our mission to make selling even easier than buying."
About Mercari
Mercari is the selling app. We make it super easy to sell (or buy) almost anything. We all have things we don't use, never used or simply outgrew. But that stuff still has value. Mercari gives you the power to simply sell it, ship it, and earn some cash for it. Fashion to toys. Sporting goods to electronics. All the brands you know and love.
Our mission is simple: to make selling easier than buying. And with more than 40 million downloads in the U.S. and 150,000 new listings every day, we're just getting started.
