Select Walmart Stores in the Dover Area to Host NASCAR Fan Events
Retailer Revs up Racing Season with Exclusive In-Store Events and Incredible Race Day Savings
BENTONVILLE, Ark., May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As Dover prepares for the upcoming Sprint Cup Series, select Walmart stores in the Dover area will host exclusive NASCAR fan events through its new Race Time program starting May 11. Customers are invited to attend these special events and enjoy real stock racing car displays and racing simulator machines – perfect to safely get behind the wheel and feel the power of NASCAR – on Wednesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 12 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to the fan events happening in Walmart parking lots, Walmart stores will feature incredible prices on NASCAR merchandise during the racing season such as T-shirts, racing flags, and tailgating food and beverages with even more selection of exclusive product on Walmart.com/NASCAR.
Local radio station WXCY will be at Walmart Store #3802 in Middletown broadcasting remotely on Wednesday, May 11 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Racing fans can also find The Speed Channel's television program, "Trackside LIVE" presented by Walmart, on the Walmart SPEED stage at Dover International Speedway on Friday, May 13 filming upcoming episodes.
