Since their inception in 1993, SDT has continued to expand and diversify its services and capabilities within the telecommunications arena. 

Today, SDT is announcing the development of a new Wireless Services Division.  SDT employs experienced wireless veterans such as Ron Tripodo and Kirk Crisler to support this work and has Master Service Agreements in place with various carriers and wireless equipment providers.  SDT is now capable of performing Tower and Antennae, Site Civil, DAS and other wireless services universally as required.

Kirk Smith is the presiding principal over the Wireless Services Division and has a knack for climbing high. An avid mountain climber and thrill seeker, Kirk recently climbed Mount Rainier at 14,410' elevation shown here. He has also climbed Mt. Whitney at 14,500' and Mt. Kilimanjaro at 19,340'.  Kirk is dedicated to seeing the Wireless Services Division climb to new heights as well. 

With a strong team of experienced professionals and a growing list of customers, SDT expects to blend the wireless group as part of the complete package of services they provide to their customers to further enable the Integrated Project Delivery method to handle work on both sides of the tower site fence.  Most recently, a lot of the Outside Plant work performed by SDT has been fiber to the cell site (FTTCS) to improve bandwidth capabilities for the wireless carriers.  With the addition of wireless services, SDT can now perform comprehensive "Integrated Project Delivery" services, also known as "Turn – Key" services, on both sides of the tower site fence, bringing in the fiber and replacing the lines and antennas!

The fast pace and demanding nature of today's telecom projects allows SDT to showcase its "Integrated Project Delivery" method of project management.  Many carriers and developers utilize the Sequential Delivery Method of building a network, i.e., a) Bidding the design work, b) designing the project, c) applying for permits, d) bidding the construction, e) building the project, etc. involving  many disciplines and intermediate steps resulting in an extended completion schedule due to the sequential process.

SDT's Integrated Project Delivery method allows one SDT team of experts to coordinate the efforts of all disciplines (engineering/planning, construction, real estate/right-of-way/permitting, testing and implementation), through a centralized project management team with expertise in all fields. The end result being a high quality network built on an accelerated schedule within budget constraints.
