Company Adds 493 Net Screens Over the Past 16 Months, With More Than 15 Million Additional Admissions
Exhibitor Efforts Driving Industry-Leading Growth
NEW YORK, May 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Screenvision Media, a national leader in cinema advertising, today announced the signing of several long-term contracts, continuing to grow the value of its exhibitor network. Totaling 345 screens across 41 theaters with 11 key exhibitors, the new signings include: Atlas Cinemas, Bianchi Theatres, D'Place Entertainment, Foothills Entertainment, Frame One Theatres, Gunloch Enterprises, Melissa Gayle Cinema Corporation, New Vision Theatres, Schulman's Movie Bowl Grille, Theater Group and Zemrak Pirkle Productions. With these new signings, the company has effectively added 493 net screens to its network over the past 16 months, totaling more than 15 million incremental annual admissions.
The additional signings follow the closing of an industry-leading year of growth for Screenvision Media. From 2015 to 2016, the company recorded a 24 percent revenue-per-patron increase, proving to be a key driver in the overall growth of the cinema advertising industry. Screenvision Media's innovations in Connected Cinema and targeting, along with its continued focus on core on-screen offerings, continue to drive accelerated performance across the board, to further deepen its value to both advertisers and exhibitor partners against both advertising and audience demand.
Theaters within the newly signed agreements increase valuable ad inventory in 23 DMAs, with a significant presence in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Cleveland. Among these new exhibitor deals, Screenvision Media has signed a 25 year agreement with New Vision Theatres, as well as introduced theaters that have not previously run advertising before. In addition, the 2017 acquisition of Carmike Cinemas by AMC Theatres resulted in the company adding 330 AMC screens to its network while gaining 10 million impressions. These agreements build on strong exhibitor relations to strengthen Screenvision Media's industry-leading position, and leave the company in a net positive position for the year ahead.
