Colorado-based organization that is revolutionizing the meaning of pro-life kicks-off charity campaign with announcement that 100% of funds raised will go towards grants for mobile medical units, also known as Stork Buses, with a goal of raising $90,000 by 9pm on Giving Tuesday. Donors who contribute $5 or more will be entered into drawing for chance to name a Stork Bus in honor of a mom or other special person who stands for life with love, compassion and action.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Nov. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Save the Storks, a pro-life ministry that has partnered with pregnancy resource centers since 2012 to empower women with choice during pregnancy, announced that their 2018 Giving Tuesday campaign was launched today with the goal of raising $90,000. 100% of funds raised up to the goal amount will go towards grants for Stork Buses in 2019 and 2020. Supporters are asked to visit savethestorks.com to make a one-time donation of at least $5 starting today through Giving Tuesday, November 27. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, a $30,000 match will be provided once Save the Storks raises the first $30,000.
"Together with affiliate pregnancy resource centers, Save the Storks has helped over 5,000 women choose life for their babies on state-of-the-art mobile medical units, staffed by licensed nurses and operated under the medical direction of OBs/GYNs." said Victoria Robinson, Director of External Relations at Save the Storks. "Today there are 47 Stork Buses across the United States. Our affiliate PRCs support expectant mothers with proper medical care, experienced mentors and valuable, practical assistance with local and state services for moms and their babies. Save the Storks has been leading the charge in rebranding the pro-life movement not only with Stork Buses, but by sharing the truth about what pro-choice actually means."
Sadly, an estimated 1,788 babies are still aborted daily in the United States. Save the Storks aims to make abortion unthinkable by continuing to partner with pregnancy resource centers, providing education about adoption and coming alongside moms and dads instead of being boycotters and picketers.
"Giving Tuesday 2018 at Save the Storks offers a unique way to inspire supporters who want to help moms and save babies," said Joe Baker, Founder & CEO at Save the Storks. "A $5 donation will help revolutionize the meaning of pro-life, and one donor may also have the chance to name a bus in honor of a mom who chose life, an adoptive or foster mom, a local PRC director or nurse, or anyone who showed unconditional love to a child. Thanks to the generosity of the anonymous donor who is contributing a $30,000 match for Giving Tuesday, one donor will receive the blessing of getting to name a Stork Bus."
