Previewed earlier this year at the CeBIT trade fair, SAP Sales OnDemand is the first of a new class of people-centric, on-demand solutions that combine the advantages of social, mobile and cloud applications:
- Built-in social collaboration enables sales professionals to quickly and easily work with their sales network to jointly share best practices, manage accounts and close deals
- Real-time information updates relevant to current opportunities and accounts offer an easy and effective way for sales professionals to most effectively manage their activities and analyze their performance
Support of mobile devices, including BlackBerry, iPhone and iPad, allows sales professionals to work anytime, anywhere
- Integration with SAP® Business Suite software enables customers to adapt and improve business processes, specifically for their sales teams, in a fast and cost-effective manner.
Built on the guiding principles of "design thinking," SAP Sales OnDemand has been developed based on intensive feedback from customer and prospect sales teams, beginning in the conceptual design phase and continuing through general availability. Co-Innovating with customers and partners throughout the design, development and deployment helps see that the solution is easy to use and that user requirements are met.
The solution is built on the SAP® Business ByDesign™ solution platform, enabling capabilities including in-memory computing technology and support of mobile devices.
SAP Sales OnDemand was made generally available on June 30, 2011. New waves of the solution are planned for delivery in six-month innovation cycles; the next wave is expected at the end of 2011.
