The event series will feature keynote presentations hosted by Vishal Sikka, member of the SAP Executive Board leading the Technology and Innovation Platform group. Sikka will address how innovations such as mobile, cloud computing and in-memory computing will revolutionize the way companies run their businesses, with SAP at the forefront of this transformation -- not just in leading the technology development but in providing the path for companies to take advantage of these innovations without disruption. At the event, attendees will see the myriad of ways that SAP is delivering on a product strategy, announced at SAPPHIRE® NOW, that extends the availability of SAP offerings on premise, on demand and on device -- all orchestrated as networked solutions on the market's most scalable, feature-rich and stable core platform.
High-Impact Educational Event Delivers Hundreds of Hands-On Workshops and In-Depth Lectures
A competitive edge and proven value are essential to thrive in today's business environment. In addition to SAP-led keynotes sessions, SAP TechEd provides high-impact technical and business process training that energizes and empowers attendees to make better decisions, overcome challenges and maximize their companies' IT investments.
The event series will feature more than 260 demo-rich technical sessions by industry forerunners that are creating, deploying and orchestrating the technologies of the best in the business, helping make their customers the best in their markets. Attendees will hear from nearly 60 SAP partners on the latest advances within the technology ecosystem, in areas such as application lifecycle management, business intelligence and performance management, enterprise information management, custom development, and security, identity and risk management. Hands-on workshops and demo-enhanced lectures will focus on the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform and SAP® BusinessObjects™ solutions, and sessions will cover a broad range of topics, including Sybase technology, in-memory computing, ABAP development, process integration, business intelligence, on-demand and mobile technology.
Develop Real Connections With the SAP Ecosystem
As the physical gathering place for the SAP ecosystem, SAP TechEd is an opportunity to forge close ties with SAP experts, partners, employees, customers and other community members. The event fosters networking and builds community through a series of special programs and activities, including a partner exhibit hall and SAP interactive stations. The Community Clubhouse will feature an environment in which the SAP online communities come to life, where attendees can interact with SAP experts that include mentors, peers and event speakers. Demo Jam, a regular highlight of SAP TechEd, will feature high-energy demonstration by developers as they compete and celebrate innovation in the SAP ecosystem.
This year, SAP TechEd will feature the first-ever "Innovation Weekends," 30-hour events in Berlin and Las Vegas in the days leadings up to each conference. Innovation Weekend will bring together participants to collaborate using the newest and most innovative SAP technologies to take an idea from concept to prototype. The team with the best working prototype by the end of the event will be invited to take the stage at Demo Jam to showcase their accomplishments.
SAP TechEd will bring together more than 14,000 attendees worldwide this year. Among these participants, the event provides an opportunity for many of the more than 2.19 million individuals who participate in SAP® Community Network online communities -- including the SAP® Developer Network (SDN), Business Process Expert (BPX) and SAP BusinessObjects communities -- to gather offline. With an average of 5,000 new members per week and daily average page views approaching 416,000, the many members of these communities contribute their knowledge, experience and perspectives daily through participation in the discussion forums, articles, blogs and wikis hosted by SAP.
Connect With SAP TechEd 2010
New this year for the Berlin and Las Vegas events, the event websites feature a "Who's Coming?" tool, which allows visitors to the sites to enter their LinkedIn or Twitter names to see whom from their social network will also be attending.
