Santanna Energy Services on Path to Break Yet Another Record for Natural Gas Send-Out

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- An Austin-based energy marketing company, Santanna Energy Services, anticipates reaching a 2012 annual delivery volume of 148 million therms, which will represent a 100 percent increase in its annual natural gas delivery volume since 2007, the first year of a continuing aggressive growth plan.

With a growing Midwest customer base that now exceeds 100,000, Santanna has consistently increased its send-out volumes on an annual and monthly basis.

Santanna's annual volume send-out in 2007 was 75 million therms, which increased to 83 million therms in 2008, 88 million therms in 2009 and 119 million therms in 2010, followed by 134 million therms in 2011. This represents a 79 percent increase in annual deliveries over a four-year period.

In December 2010, Santanna reached its monthly send-out high of just under 15 million therms, which was quickly exceeded in January 2011 with a 16.5 million therm send-out - a stark increase from its first-year monthly high of nine million therms.

Having met or exceeded the goals of the growth plan each year from 2007 forward, Santanna reached the stated milestone of 100,000 customers in July and sees another volume send out record for 2012.
