SANS Institute Heads to Washington, D.C. for Final Training Event of the Year, SANS Cyber Defense Initiative 2015
Offering New Advanced Courses in Active Defense & Offensive Countermeasures, IT Security Strategic Planning, ICS Active Defense, and Cyber Threat Intelligence

Taking place in Washington, D.C. December 12 – 19, this hands-on immersion style training will provide attendees access to SANS' newest courses.

SANS Cyber Defense Initiative 2015 will feature an impressive list of more than 30 information security training courses for InfoSec professionals at every level. Attendees will learn how the newest cyber attacks work and what can be done to prevent them or mitigate the damage. They will also learn about the latest tools, and how to use them for finding, blocking and deciphering hacking attacks.
New courses that will be offered at CDI 2015 include:
- SEC550: Active Defense, Offensive Countermeasures and Cyber Deception is built from the ground up for defenders to quickly implement Active Defenses in their environments.
- MGT514: IT Security Strategic Planning, Policy and Leadership addresses the growing need for next generation IT security leaders and offers actionable steps for how to become one.
- ICS515: ICS Active Defense and Incident Response will empower students with the ability to understand their networked industrial control system (ICS) environment, monitor it for threats, perform incident response against identified threats, and learn from interactions with the adversary to enhance network security.
