Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Announces Habitrot for Humanity Half Marathon and 5k this October 8

Proceeds to Benefit Habitat for Humanity of Walton County

DESTIN, FL, Sept. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, the #1 Resort on Florida's Emerald Coast, today announced Habitrot for Humanity, a half marathon and 5k race this October 8, to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Sandestin invites running enthusiasts this fall to enjoy the mild, sunny weather and scenic trails all throughout the beautiful 2,400 acre resort. From the beach to the bay, runners will be able to soak in views of the resort including the: Gulf of Mexico, Choctawhatchee Bay, beautifully manicured golf courses, ponds, nature and so much more.

           7:00 a.m. Half Marathon Starts
           7:30 a.m. 5k Run Starts
           8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Post Race Party

In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, proceeds from the event will ultimately help build stronger lives for mothers, fathers and children in Walton County.
