San Portales opens with largest rental units in Arizona
Class A community bucks the trend of high-rise density with spacious, luxurious apartment living
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Despite the increasing number of high-rise rental communities dotting the metro landscape, Arizona residents like their space, and now there's a new community in the high Sonoran Desert of North Scottsdale that meets this need like no other in the state.
San Portales quietly opened its first phase to new residents, welcoming them to a community that offers a distinctive living experience with expansive floor plans, direct-access two-car garages and elevators located throughout the community. These attributes supplement an array of other resort-like amenities, and broaden the appeal of the community to a demographic that, in many cases, hasn't lived in a traditional apartment for quite some time.
"There's no rental community in the area that provides the same combination of security, convenience, professional full-time staff, low-density environment and the large, livable floorplans that San Portales does," said Mark-Taylor Executive Vice President Chris Brozina. "We made a concerted effort to create a place that renters truly see as a viable option to owning a single-family home."
Due to the timing of her move, new resident Kathryn Brudnak, 50, chose San Portales sight unseen.
"I took a leap of faith and worked closely with the management team, who provided me with everything that I needed to have a vision of what it would be like," Brudnak said. "It far exceeded my expectations with storage and quality, from the paint on the walls to the beautiful kitchen island."
With a physical condition that limits her mobility, Brudnak appreciates the expansive space, garages so her visitors have a place to park and the elevator, which is right outside her door. Her prior apartment did not have an elevator.
"I called my mom right after I moved in and told her 'I finally feel like I'm home!'"
As part of the Silverstone at Pinnacle Peak master plan – the site of the former Rawhide Western Town on Scottsdale Road – San Portales features the upscale appointments Mark-Taylor communities are known for: guard-gated porte-cochere entry monuments, ENERGY STAR® construction quality, lush landscaping, a lagoon-style pool, and interior amenities often found in custom homes.
Located at 7215 S. Silverstone Dr. in Scottsdale, San Portales is at the epicenter of a luxury lifestyle location with high-end retail, restaurants and desert hikes nearby. The community is in close proximity to some of the most beautiful golf courses in the southwest, with Pinnacle Peak Country Club, Grayhawk and DC Ranch golf courses all within a few minutes. The community's two secure, gated entry points lead to walking trails and the adjacent Pinnacle Peak retail center and Sprout's Farmers Market.
The one to three-bedroom floor plans offer up to 1,876 square feet of living space and abundant storage. Other features include granite counters, stainless appliances, pendant lighting, full size washers and dryers, step-in showers and private balconies. Monthly rental rates range from $1,400 to $3,199.
