Saint-Gobain Corporation Appoints Susan Nutson Senior Vice President of Human Resources
VALLEY FORGE, Pa., Oct. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Saint-Gobain, the world's largest building materials company, has announced the appointment of Susan Nutson as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Saint-Gobain Corporation (Saint-Gobain's North American holding company).
In this role, Nutson fills a key position on Saint-Gobain's North American Executive Committee and will report directly to John Crowe, President and CEO of both Saint-Gobain and its largest North American subsidiary, CertainTeed Corporation. She also reports functionally to Claire Pedini, Senior Vice President Human Resources, Saint-Gobain, Paris, France.

Nutson will be responsible for the strategy and governance of all human resources disciplines, including compensation and benefits, organization development, training and leadership development, diversity, employee relations and labor relations. She also will maintain oversight of the company's Environmental Health and Safety function and will serve as a member of the Saint-Gobain Corporate Foundation, the company's philanthropic arm dedicated to providing local community grants, employee matching funds and larger grants for charitable programs across North America focused in the areas of sustainable building and habitat and science-related educational programs.

Nutson has extensive experience leading Human Resources organizations in multinational companies, including the Carrier Corporation (United Technologies), Tower Automotive and the Ford Motor Company. Most recently, she was Vice President of Human Resources at Atkore International (previously a division of Tyco International). She holds a B.S. in marketing and merchandising from Western Michigan University and has also completed executive development programs at Cornell University, University of Michigan and University of Virginia.
