HERZLIYA, Israel, Jan. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Safe-T® (TASE: SAFE), a leading provider of software-defined access solutions for the hybrid cloud, today announced 2017 progress and achievements including 70% growth in revenue. Other accomplishments included the addition of key customers and launch of a new Software-Defined Access (SDA) solution.
Revenue Growth, Enterprise Customer Wins and New Partnerships
Safe-T achieved a 70% revenue increase from 2016 to 2017, aided by many strategic enterprise wins. An increasing number of clients were added to Safe-T's portfolio in the following industries: law enforcement, aerospace, telco, cloud services, financial, healthcare, gaming, government, credit, manufacturing, insurance, and utilities. Two name brand U.S. OEM software providers, in cloud security and identity authentication, are now white-labeling Safe-T's technology.
Additionally, Safe-T has entered a technology partnership with Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., the largest network cyber security vendor globally, and a joint solution with Stratoscale, a leading cloud infrastructure company.
New Leadership
On January 1, 2018, Safe-T brought on John Parmley as the new U.S. CEO, based out of Chicago, IL. He will lead U.S. operations, including sales, business development and support. Mr. Parmley brings expertise in acceleration of pipeline development and sales for early stage security companies. Prior to joining Safe-T, Mr. Parmley served as Area Vice President U.S. West and Canada at Tufin Technologies, a recognized leader in security policy orchestration solutions. He will play a key role in building the North American sales organization and advancing Safe-T's global growth efforts.
In 2017, Safe-T strategically expanded its global headcount by 50%, with key hires such as Noam Markfeld as VP Sales, Israel and Middle East, Julie Shafiki as Chief Marketing Officer, and Hagit Gal as Legal Counsel to the executive team, all from leading cyber and technology companies.
Product Advancement
2017 marked the launch of Safe-T's Software-Defined Access (SDA) solution, which advances the Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP) approach to the next level. Safe-T's SDA platform is built on the company's patented reverse-access technology, which minimizes attack vectors by significantly changing the way network segments communicate today, leaving zero firewall holes opened to unwanted entries.
Safe-T's technology surpasses current authentication and encryption strategies by unifying and streamlining access systems while consolidating data exchange and connectivity. Use cases include:
- Secure Application Access – Provide secure, controlled and transparent access and usage for all entities to internal applications and files.
- Anonymous Application Access – Easily and securely offer new file upload services for applications, customers and anonymous users.
- Secure File and Email Access – Control access and secure the exchange of any type and size of file between people, applications, cloud solutions, and businesses.
- Cloud Storage Access – Control and monitor all data uploaded and downloaded from the enterprise to/from cloud storages
- Secure Hybrid Cloud Access – Simplify migration to the hybrid-cloud architectures, by securely and transparently connecting the cloud to the on-premise.
"I'm incredibly pleased with Safe-T's revenue growth and increased global footprint," said Safe-T CEO Shachar Daniel. "We've earned the trust of customers who have chosen our technology to secure their perimeter. Safe-T is at the forefront of innovation with our disruptive Software-Defined Access solution, taking SDP to the next level. The expansion of our executive team proves that we're attracting great talent from industry veterans who see the potential of growing the Safe-T brand."
