RxAlly Announces Addition Of Experienced Corporate Counsel Tom O'Grady To The Company's Leadership Team

LEESBURG, Va., July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RxAlly, a first-of-its-kind alliance of more than 22,000 pharmacies nationwide, announced today the addition of Tom O'Grady to the company's leadership team.  Mr. O'Grady will serve as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development.  He brings more than 30 years of corporate and transactional law experience to his role as General Counsel. In the Corporate Development role, Mr. O'Grady will be structuring business relationships between RxAlly and the companies and businesses that RxAlly will be working with as it continues to align pharmacies and pharmacists, the patients they serve, and the payer community. 

Mr. O'Grady joins RxAlly from McGuireWoods LLP where he focused on transactional law for health care and other technology enabled companies.  Mr. O'Grady's experience included  mergers and acquisitions and equity and debt financing, as well as a variety of licensing, intellectual property and outsourcing transactions in his 26 years with the firm.  Prior to joining McGuireWoods LLP, he practiced in South Africa, where he became a partner in Bowman Gilfillan - one of South Africa's largest law firms. He then spent a year at Shearman & Sterling, a Wall Street law firm, before joining McGuireWoods LLP in 1985. Mr. O'Grady taught a course in strategic alliances in a graduate program as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Maryland, University College, from 1991-1995.

Mr. O'Grady was recognized as one of Virginia's "Legal Elite" by Virginia Business in 2010 and named a Washington, D.C. and Virginia "Super Lawyer" in 2007.
