Royal Holiday and our people - dealing with this crisis together
MEXICO CITY, March 30, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is a statement from Royal Holiday Vacation Club President Pablo González Carbonell:
"Confronted with the current situation facing us all, RH has undertaken widespread measures to safeguard what is most valuable to us…our people, their health and their jobs. It is because of that we are doing our absolute best to maintain our employees and properties in optimum conditions so we can move forward as soon as humanly possible.
"Together with our team, we will comply with complete professionalism, all international protocols and recommendations concerning prevention and hygiene at all our work centers. For that reason, starting next week, we will temporarily suspend operations at our 14 hotels that make up the chain: Park Royal Hotels & Resorts. We will be using this time for an intense maintenance campaign and deep cleaning program to receive our guests and Royal Holiday members from around the world, when convenient for everyone.
"In the past we had to deal with the Real Estate Crisis of 1982; Hurricane Gilbert in 1988; the Economic Crisis of 1994; Hurricane Wilma in 2005, that devastated our hotels in the Caribbean; the Global Financial Crisis of 2008; and the 2009 Pandemia.
"Each of these crises put our commitment to the test, and with each one we came out stronger and more united thanks to our resilience. Now we will use this time to get ready, reorganize, retrain and seek the solutions we always have as a company.
"At Royal Holiday, we see each crisis as a real growth opportunity, to learn, to reevaluate and reinvent ourselves. We are an essential part of an aggressive and powerhouse industry that always comes out ahead."
