***INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITY REGARDING ISRAELI POW RELEASE***
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In light of the recent release of Israeli POW Gilad Shalit, SHOWTIME is offering interview opportunities with the executive producers of its new drama series HOMELAND to further discuss today's events and how it parallels both the series and the Israeli series "Prisoners of War" (on which HOMELAND is based). The producers are available to discuss the topic as well as the differences between the two societies' views on patriotism, heroes and their depictions on television and film.

HOMELAND is based on the Israeli series "Prisoners of War" which was created and written by Gideon Raff, who also serves as an executive producer on the U.S. adaptation. HOMELAND is a psychological thriller that tells the story of CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of POW Nick Brody (Damian Lewis) - a U.S. soldier who had been missing for eight years and presumed dead - may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil.
