Telect President and CEO, Wayne Williams, and Executive Vice President and CFO, Stan Hilbert, hit the road on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles this summer, from August through mid-September, for Ride with Telect, a national business and motorcycle tour. Telect exchanges tradeshows and boardrooms for the highway in this unique 30-year celebration of Telect and its customers. "We want to personally thank our customers for thirty years of business," Wayne Williams said.
"One of the reasons we're doing this Ride is so our customers better understand the DNA of Telect—who we are," Williams said. "We're taking this edgy approach to connect with our customers at their location, one-on-one. As we journey on these motorcycles and visit with our customers, we can roll up our sleeves in this very intense, economic time to really listen and develop strong relationships," Williams added.
From Telect's corporate offices in Liberty Lake, Washington, The Ride visits 30 cities around the United States, covering 11,000 miles.
As Telect celebrates thirty years of business and prepares to push forward into the next 30 years of innovative network solutions, their drive to simplify networks continues to grow. "Telect's DNA is stronger than ever, tempered and lean. Innovation bleeds thick at Telect, and finding ways to make our customers' lives simpler is in our experimental blood," Williams said. "We want customers to experience what we've developed."
Telect's Executive Vice President and CFO, Stan Hilbert, commented on the parallel between The Ride and Telect's business outlook. Analogous to Telect's attitude—prepared for the future, but geared to embrace risk and change in order to foster network innovation, "The Ride embodies Telect's culture and spirit," Hilbert said.
Hilbert, Williams, and other members of the Ride with Telect team will thank customers, showcase products, and develop new relationships in this face-to-face (or bike-to-bike) product roadshow celebration.
"We want to hear what's important to our customers and their communities," Williams said.
Founded by Bill and Judi Williams and son Wayne Williams, in 1982, Telect is—and always has been—an independent, privately-owned company. September 13, 2012, marks 30 years in business.
Telect simplifies networks, and that push is reflected in this 30th anniversary celebration tour. The entourage is simplified, lean and green, with motorcycles and an eco-friendly, vinyl-wrapped Sprinter van and trailer.
Customers are signing up now to participate in The Ride events (breakfasts, lunches, product shows, and more), as well as sections of the physical motorcycle ride.
"We're excited to connect with customers and develop new relationships on this 30-Year Ride," Williams said.
Join the Ride with Telect—whether on a motorcycle, two feet, or on a computer—at ridewithtelect.com, and be a part of the celebration.
