Ricoh CHAMPS program helping office equipment dealers succeed and meet business objectives
Since program inception in 2011 dealers experiencing revenue gains; ability to offer deeper and wider solutions to customers; and better competitive advantage
MALVERN, Pa., Feb. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricoh Americas Corporation is helping its dealers compete more effectively with valuable business process improvement capabilities via Ricoh's CHAMPS dealer services program.
In addition to promoting office equipment, Ricoh, Savin and Lanier dealers can now sell a broad array of Ricoh services, adding powerful capabilities to their portfolios without the time investment and infrastructure costs of creating new services capabilities from scratch.
"We hear various success stories from our dealers, not only about how Ricoh is helping to grow their businesses and expand their portfolio of offerings, but about how our strong partnerships are helping them increase efficiencies, improve productivity and ultimately run healthier businesses," said Jim Coriddi, Vice President, Dealer Division, Ricoh U.S.A. "These success stories demonstrate how our dealers are working hard each day to make information work for customers."
Previewed here are two examples of recent CHAMPS success stories. Ricoh will share several others like these with dealers at its upcoming national dealer conference in Las Vegas, March 2-5.
American Business Center, a Ricoh dealer for more than 17 years, is helping the City of Warren's Engineering and Planning Department increase efficiency and improve productivity by making hard copy documents more easily accessible at a faster rate. As a government entity the department has had to work with limited resources while making their ledgers and records (still in hardcopy format) available to interested constituents on a daily basis. American Business Center turned to Ricoh for assistance in meeting this customer's unique needs. Ricoh designed a solution that enables interested parties the ability to scan and print their required materials creating a revenue generating opportunity for the department. This customer self-service process has also helped the City of Warren's Engineering and Planning Department employees focus on more strategic activities.
American Business Center has also engaged Ricoh Digital Imaging Services resources via the CHAMPS program to work closely with customer Lane Funeral Homes to provide a comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategy for thousands of documents. Some of these documents date back as far as the 1800s and are housed in a storage facility which is becoming too small as the company grows. Lane Funeral Homes needed an easier way to obtain old records, some of which are subject to regulations by the State of Ohio, as well as pre-planned arrangements that have been stored and need to be accessed immediately in the event of a death. In addition, the company required a disaster recovery system should the documents be lost. The backup and disaster recovery system American Business Center engaged Ricoh to put in place has helped Lane Funeral Homes more easily access these documents to meet regulatory and filing requirements, thus avoiding possible costly fines and legal action. The automation is also helping families more quickly access and carry out their loved ones pre-planning requests.
"Having the ability to fulfill all of a customer's information management needs is vitally important not only for our success but for our customer's success as well," said Robert Wagner, President, American Business Center. "The CHAMPS program gives us access to Ricoh services experts, which has helped our business evolve and grow and we've become a trusted provider as well as a one-stop shop for ultimately helping customers capture, transform and manage information more effectively in today's new world of work."
Ricoh's CHAMPS program is an innovative approach that enables dealers to successfully redesign their business models and gain the proper knowhow and Ricoh expertise to offer advanced services that deliver information mobility and ultimately help customers capture, transform and manage information more effectively in today's new world of work.
The program qualifies dealers to analyze customer business challenges and prescribe custom services drawing from Ricoh's Business Information Solutions expertise.
The CHAMPS certification program confirms that a dealer has successfully completed all Ricoh Services certification requirements for a particular specialized service or solution offering. CHAMPS certification programs are available through the Ricoh Learning Institute and directly through the services organizations. A total of 220 dealers have been certified since the certification program began in February 2012.
"We at Ricoh are committed to being the number one printing equipment and services provider in the country for our dealers," said Coriddi. "To achieve this, we're giving our dealers low-risk opportunities to shift their business models, enter new markets and strengthen their valuable customer relationships."
