The appointment demonstrates P21's sense of urgency and commitment to ensuring every child possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in our rapidly changing world.
In his new role, Dr. Holliday will assist P21 staff and members to expand support for P21's growing network of state policy leaders and state-based coalitions in building educational systems that prepare children to become successful citizens in a global society.
Under Dr. Holliday's leadership, Kentucky joined P21 as a State Partner in 2010. He previously chaired the P21 State Partner Advisory Council. Dr. Holliday championed 21st century learning throughout his distinguished career, spanning over four decades in public education, and was recently awarded by National Board for Professional Teaching Standards with 2015 James Kelly award and named 2014 Policy Leader of the Year by National Association of State Boards of Education.
