Prior to implementing RCS's NCR Counterpoint solution, Goodwill used electronic cash registers and credit card machines, managed cash drawer counting and deposits on Excel spreadsheets, and manually entered data into their accounting software. Looking to update their retail management process, RCS was recommended to the Goodwill Industries of Chattanooga by other stores that had implemented the same NCR Counterpoint solution successfully.

NCR Counterpoint provides the Goodwill Industries of Chattanooga with an easy-to-use touchscreen interface, 2-second payment processing, loss prevention tools, advanced reporting, staffing solutions, and a suite of built-in marketing tools to help minimize shrinkage, ensure accurate and secure transactions, improve inventory management, and increase customer loyalty. The custom enhancements developed by RCS have given Goodwill tools tailored specifically for their business such as a donation kiosk, donation roundup, color rotation, KPI tracking, and specialized reporting features that support Goodwill's mission of obtaining donations. Additionally, Goodwill hosts all of their stores through the RCS data center.
