ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Restaurant.com, the nation's largest dining deals site, is celebrating reaching a 20,000 restaurant partner milestone with the "Plates of Thanks" campaign. Kicking off during National Small Business Week (May 4-8, 2015,) the company has created the generous initiative to give back to the small businesses at the heart of communities: independently owned restaurants.
"Restaurant.com understands the importance of independently-owned restaurants in communities nationwide. We've helped them thrive since 1999," said Dr. Kenneth C. Chessick, Restaurant.com Chairman and CEO. "We are excited to continue our efforts to help these establishments succeed. Restaurant.com is proud to show our gratitude to restaurants, diners and businesses across the nation."
PLATES OF THANKS GIVEAWAY
This June, in honor of reaching 20,000 restaurant partners, Restaurant.com will offer the Plates of Thanks Giveaway by delivering gifts of gratitude to 20 select, locally-owned restaurants across the nation. The company will work with the restaurants to identify needs and provide solutions for establishments, ranging from new cookware and linens to landscaping updates. Of the 20 selected restaurants, Restaurant.com will deliver the gifts live on-site at five restaurants in the following markets: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Las Vegas, NV; Philadelphia, PA; and Tampa, FL.
NOMINATE A RESTAURANT
Restaurant.com will take nominations for the Plates of Thanks Giveaway from May 4-15, 2015 at partners.restaurant.com/giveaway.aspx. Dining patrons, employees or even restaurants themselves can share stories, business needs and requests for gifts of gratitude through the nomination. Restaurant.com will base selections on need, passion and commitment to community. Selected restaurants will be announced on or around May 20, 2015.
PLATES OF THANKS SWEEPSTAKES
Restaurant.com is thanking restaurant patrons, as well. Beginning in June, hungry diners are encouraged to enter the Plates of Thanks Sweepstakes at www.restaurant.com/sweepstakes. Twenty winners will be selected to win a big night out for six at a participating restaurant in their community. Restaurant.com encourages consumers around the U.S. to join in on the giving via social media with #PlatesofThanks and visiting locally-owned eateries in their communities.
"Restaurant.com is excited to also honor restaurant patrons, the lifeblood of independently owned establishments," Dr. Chessick continued. "We are grateful to express our gratitude to our customers and small business supporters."
THANKING SMALL BUSINESSES
Through a robust incentive and loyalty program, Restaurant.com is extending gratitude to American small businesses. Twenty small businesses will be selected to receive free bundles of $25 Restaurant.com cards to incentivize customers and grow their business.
"As Restaurant.com partners with 20,000 restaurants and growing, we are excited to partner with even more small businesses on marketing solutions that help their business grow and prosper," Dr. Chessick explained.
