Resources Global Professionals will team up with BlackLine to host the Northwest Client Roundtable next week at the global professional services firm's offices in downtown Seattle. The event will feature a case study from locally headquartered BlackLine client True Blue Inc. (NYSE: TBI), the leading blue collar staffing provider.
Jennifer Matheson, director of client service and IFRS subject matter expert at Resources Global, will open the day with a session on the impact of FASB and IASB convergence projects.
John Whipple, accountant and BlackLine system administrator at True Blue, will present the client case study entitled "Remembering the Past; Working in the Present; Preparing for the Future" in which he will discuss how implementing BlackLine has streamlined the public company's account reconciliation, financial close and compliance reporting processes (and made his life easier in the process).
BlackLine Solutions Consultant Michael Redard, CPA, will lead multiple sessions throughout the day on best practices to optimize the financial close process by using BlackLine.
Accounting, finance, audit and compliance department executives from other regional BlackLine client companies are expected to attend and share their experiences using BlackLine's account reconciliation and financial close software suite.
The BlackLine Northwest Client Roundtable, one of a series of regional Roundtables that BlackLine plans to conduct this year, will be a half-day event, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011.
Attendees will be eligible for CPE (continuing professional education) credits through Resources Global, an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)-certified training provider.
