Regus Acquires Nine Business Centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
Deal expands Regus' Metroplex network to 27 locations
DALLAS, Nov. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Regus, the world's largest provider of flexible workplaces, today announced that has acquired nine business centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex from ABT Executive Suites.
The acquisition allows Regus, whose Americas headquarters is in the Dallas suburb of Addison, to expand its presence in the Metroplex by one-third, going from 18 to 27 centers. Regus expects to generate significant economies of scale and cross-selling opportunities as it introduces ABT clients to its extensive suite of innovative products and solutions such as the Businessworld membership program. Businessworld, the only program of its kind, provides members with convenient, on-demand access to business lounges, private offices and meeting room space at more than 1,100 Regus centers worldwide.
Guillermo Rotman, Regus CEO for Americas said, "Strategic acquisitions such as this one will be a key part of our global growth strategies. The acquisition makes sense on a number of levels, from the great locations that we're acquiring to the expanded presence that it instantly provides us in such an important and growing market as the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex."
Rotman added, "Our recent Business Tracker survey found that 31 percent of Dallas-Fort Worth area companies are looking to add new staff in 2011. Many of these businesses will also be looking for flexibility when it comes to providing these new employees with cost-effective workplaces. We feel that our flexible workplace model is ideal for companies of any size looking to quickly scale up or down as they react to rapidly changing market conditions."
Patton and Bret Chapman former owners of ABT Executive Suites said, "Our clients stand to benefit greatly from the Regus acquisition. Not only will they be a part of the world's largest network of fully equipped business centers and have immediate access to more than 1,100 locations around the globe, but they will also receive customer service that is second to none. "
