SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Touch Media, the Salt Lake City, Utah-based technology company behind the fastest-growing digital media content management platform in the entertainment industry, is proud to announce their partnership with Independence Film Investments (IFI), a vertically integrated, full-service film studio based in Connecticut. Two separate agreements between the companies have been made, a contract to distribute IFI content on Red Touch Media's platform and across their global network, as well as a contract for IFI to utilize Red Touch Bridge to manage their content distribution through their internal post-production and sales cycle.

Through the agreement with IFI, Red Touch Media has been able to enhance its independent film collection on the company's platform and network with the addition of IFI's material. Preceding the agreement, Red Touch Media entered a content deal with Magnolia Pictures, an independent film distributor, to build on its library of independent films available to subscribers.
"This is a fantastic addition to our content library" said Wayne Scholes, CEO and Chairman of Red Touch Media. "As a company, we aim to provide our subscribers with a broad, cross-section of all categories in our Media Store, and the IFI partnership allows us to bulk up our independent film offerings."
The Red Touch Bridge solution will allow IFI to regulate all aspects of their digital properties. Through Red Touch Media's digital rights management technology, IFI now has control of production and distribution management, consumption tracking, user behavior monitoring and reporting. IFI first learned about the capabilities of Red Touch Media products at MIPTV in April of 2013, where Leigh Scott, President of IFI, and Wayne Scholes, CEO and Chairman of Red Touch Media, began discussions of a partnership.
"We are thrilled to sign on with Red Touch Media and benefit from the valuable features that their Bridge solution offers," said Scott. "Our films typically cater to underserved markets that are receptive to the independent material we produce, so it's an added value that they have decided to add our content to their portfolio. It gives IFI a new advantage to now be able to touch the global audience that Red Touch Media reaches."
Red Touch Media's content management and distribution solutions have over a decade of in market use by some of the largest distributors of digital media, including major motion picture studios and music labels. NBC Universal, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Warner Music Group, EMI and HDNet are some of the companies Red Touch Media has most recently worked with.
