Food and drink businesses worldwide can sign up now to help fight AIDS this summer.
NEW YORK, April 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- From Michelin-starred restaurants to food trucks, bars and everything in between, EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES is a month-long campaign that unites the culinary world around one shared goal - the fight to deliver an AIDS Free Generation.
Starting today, businesses worldwide can sign up to join the global campaign, which raises money and awareness by simply adding a (RED)-inspired item to food and drink menus.
"Anyone who has ever worked in a kitchen knows that the sum of our efforts always far exceeds what any one of us can do individually," explains top chef and campaign spokesman Chef Mario Batali. "This is what EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES is about... restaurants, bars and food trucks everywhere working together this June to save lives."
Joining Mario Batali in support of the campaign are a number of today's most world-renowned culinary figures, including Paul Qui, April Bloomfield, Dominique Ansel, Sanjeev Kapoor, Anthony Bourdain, Jose Andres, Art Smith, Michael Mina, Enrique Olvera, Ludo Lefebvre, Jon Shook, Vinny Dotolo - and many more.
