Razor® Crazy Cart™ Wins Outdoor Toy of the Year Award
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Razor USA LLC, innovators of outdoor fun and home of the iconic Razor kick scooter, was honored at the 14th annual Toy Industry Association's Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards ceremony. The Razor Crazy Cart, an electric-powered drifting go cart, was awarded "2014 Outdoor Toy of the Year" at the TOTY Awards ceremony, held in New York City on February 15, 2014. The annual awards program is sponsored by the toy industry itself to recognize top toys.
"We are thrilled to be awarded 'Outdoor Toy of the Year' for the Crazy Cart," said Carlton Calvin, founder and president at Razor. "This award reinforces our mission to deliver exciting products that inspire kids of all ages to get outside and have fun."
A unique break-out ride-on, appealing to both kids and adults, the Crazy Cart became a viral sensation in July 2013 with its introductory YouTube video (http://youtu.be/hbGXBUif-PE), viewed by more than one million people in just a few days. Since then, it topped many major holiday must-have toy lists for both thrill-seeking kids and grown-ups alike. The Crazy Cart was the dream machine of Ali Kermani, a long-time Razor employee who went on to develop the Crazy Cart as the showcase for his MBA thesis at UCLA's Anderson School of Management.
