Rate Everything with Jotly, Now Available on the Android Market
Firespotter opens Jotly API to see what $%@# developers can build on it
PLEASANTON, Calif., Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Firespotter Labs today announced the availability of Jotly (www.jotly.co) not only on the iPhone but now, responding to massive demand and after lots of late nights drinking and programming, also on the Android Market. Jotly is a very serious app that allows anyone (including that weird Match date you had last week) to rate everything (wow). Additionally, the Jotly API (Application Programming Interface, thank goodness for acronyms, this one gets a B+) is now open so that all talented geeks may find new and amusing uses for a platform that allows the uploading of images and copy on both market-leading smartphones (*cough* Instagram *cough*).
"My creators, forward-thinking as they are, conjured me up from what was, in essence, a tongue-in-cheek video parody of Silicon Valley's variation-on-a-theme approach to start-ups," said Jotly, a very serious app. "Imagine their surprise when I became sought after by Android users. And the rest, as they say, stays in Vegas."
With its open API, Jotly becomes the first photo sharing platform for both iPhone and Android that lets people with serious skills create new and exciting (Crunchie?) applications. "I am throwing down the gauntlet for developers with a sense of humor and style to create brash, new reasons to use our mobile phones," said Jotly, the world's most interesting app. "And just so you know, I don't often drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis."
Jotly attributes its record-breaking growth (no tongue-in-cheek app has ever made it this far without Ashton Kutcher 's approval) to people's mischievous nature and need to comment on everything. Jotly strongly believes and adamantly reasons that "Everything about your life is exciting. To everyone."
With Jotly you can:
- Rate anything. Even yourself.
- Rate nothing. This will be fascinating to friends and foes.
- Sign up without Facebook or Twitter.
- Move about freely. The app will automatically follow you.
- Earn influence points and build (street) credit.
- Earn a living.
- Avoid the SOPA opera.
"I'm on a horse, too," said Jotly, the app your app could smell like.
